Visalia, California

Team Futaba members participated in the Central Valley RC Club's annual "Fall Soaring Fest". There were over 225 entries resulting in over 2100 launches for the 2 day event.


Chad Northeast wins the WCPC

Futaba's own Chad Northeast takes the Western Canadian Pattern Championship.
Chad pulled off 6 winning rounds to take home the trophy for the 5th time.

Advanced Class

Team Futaba pilot Stephen Hamilton finished first in the Advanced Class at the AMA Nats for Scale Aerobatics. Stephen was also awarded the Bill Bennett trophy as he was the pilot with the highest accumulated scores!


Unlimited Class

In the Unlimited Class, Team Futaba pilots took three out of the top five places. Kurt Koelling finished second, Frank Noll Jr. finished third, and Ivan Kristensen finished fifth.

Masters Class

Team Futaba pilots Glen Watson and Rusty Fried didn't let bad weather stop them from placing in the Masters Class for Scale Aerobatics. Glen took third place while Rusty came in fifth.

FAI/ F3A Class

Only a few points separated 1st and 3rd place in the FAI/ F3A Class for Scale Aerobatics. The same could be said for the difference in 4th and 5th place. Team Futaba pilot Jason Shulman was very consistent and took third place, winning the third round. Sean McMurtry placed fifth, less than 2 points away from fourth. Chad Northeast had a strong showing placing seventh.

Team Futaba Members Sweep the Q-40 AMA NATS

Muncie, Indiana

Team Futaba showed that precision and speed make a great combination, taking home multiple places at the AMA NATS for pylon racing. The Team had an exceptional showing in the Q-40 race, sweeping the top 4 spots. In the Q-500 race, Team Futaba represented 6 of the top 10 finishers.

Jim Allen was awarded the Overall Pylon Championship, dethroning the reigning six time champion. Jim's 2nd place finish in the Q-40 and 4th place finish in the Q-500 were enough to earn him the prestigious award.
