How can I set up V-Tail mixing and still have a steerable nosewheel that does NOT respond to the elevator input?

To do this, you will need to use 2 mixes and channels 1-4 and 6. Plug the nose gear steering servo into channel 6, and all other hook ups as normal, and program the radio for V-tail. Note: If you want the channel 6 knob to remain active as a steering trim, do not do the second mix listed below.

Select PMIX 1Dial right to Programmable Mix 1
Make it activeCursor Down twice to Mix and Dial Left
Master Channel 4Cursor Down once, turn dial to Rudder
Slave Channel 6Cursor Down once, Turn dial to FLP
Trim ONLink OffSwitch NullCursor Down and Set with Dial
Set 100%Cursor Down to RateMove Rudder LeftTurn Dial Right until 100 displayed. Move Rudder RightTurn Dial Right until 100 displayed
Close MenuPress End Twice
Unassign Channel 6 from the knob so that it activates ONLY from the mix aboveOpen Basic MenuPress Mode Twice
Select Aux ChDial to Aux Ch and Press Dial
Go to channel 6Cursor down to Ch 6
Select NULLDial right to NULL
Close MenuPress End Twice
