I want to use my new 6EXA to teach someone to fly. He has another 6EXA, but when they are hooked together, the Student does not follow the mixing in my Master radio, why?
To use the 6EXA as a Master and have the Student follow the mixing, you will need to use either a 9C or 9Z as the student. Either of these two radios will have the programming required to make the mixed functions work correctly. The 6EXA can be used as a Master with lesser radios, as long as there are no mixes used. If you do not have one of these radios available to use as a trainer, then it is best to use the 6EXA as a Student only.
